Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier is one designer that I new for the obvious connection to Madonna, films, stripes and fragrance. His perfume bottles would frequent many of my male friends vanity tables.  But I never truly explored what he was about until now. The current show at the de Young in San Francisco was spectacular to say the least. One walks into a complete vision of the Gaultier's mind. A brilliant portrayal of imagination and play. He taps into so many subjects and seems to just have fun with them all. His exploration of the female body and the binding nature of corestry is recurrent throughout his body of work. It's such a pleasure to see ones passion fully explored through so many subjects and materials. The use of 3d audiovisual projections made it even more exciting to behold. Be sure not to miss this if your in town!
