What the water gave me

Rainy day in the blue room...
Chilly rain equals snug sweaters, tea, and dance party of one..

I just got the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in La Somptueuse. It's so very lovely.

It's pouring rain outside and this seems like the perfect comfort food. I picked up these water and salt olives at the local farmers. I added these hot peppers for some spice and ended up crying for most of my meal!

Dead Can Dance

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween and Día de los Muertos! I spend the afternoon testing out Chanel's Les Exclusifs. I decided N°18 suits me the best. A trip to the Chanel Boutique is always a good thing. My fascination with blue skulls carried over to today's creative ventures. I sketched out this skull for the spirit of Halloween and was inspired to create some goodies at my local bead store.

I did a spur of the moment DIY with these cool skull beads that are highly similar to Pamela Love's skull necklaces.I chose a copper chain for the blue and gold for the green. I can't wait to make more things with these!

Chocolate and lace

Some mornings I crave the strangest things. Take for instance, goats cheese apple flat breads topped with dark chocolate on a bed of spinach. Paired with my Holy Mate tea. Trust me it was delightful! I usually avoid all grains so I have to get creative in the kitchen. I make these pancake/flat breads out of coconut flour. I use them for sandwich, pancakes, pizza dough substitutes. They are tiny and perfect for one. You can make them sweet or more salty bread like depending on the oils and milk you use. Coconut oil and coconut milk lean towards a sweeter result. Olive oil and hemp milk are more salty bread like. My favorite is a Spring olive oil by Sciabica. It has a buttery aftertaste that mixes well with the coconut flour. This is my current favorite 85% dark chocolate by Alter Eco. It's very low in sugar and has no emulsifiers.

Grain free Coconut flat-breads

1 TBSP freshly ground flax seeds + 3 TBSP water
1 TBSP Coconut flour
1 TBSP Coconut milk
1 TBSP Sciabica Spring Olive oil
Sprinkle of Pink salt

Mix together and cook on a oiled cast iron hot plate like a pancake

Await

These quirky Stubbs & Wootton palm tree needlepoint slippers are a recent find. A bargain at 2.99 for a 400.00 shoe! This is my favorite October dress. I found it in a vintage linen box that my friend gave me. The pearls are also from his aunts collection. Dear Agnes had great taste!  Perfect for a dreamy late evening picnic.

 Gorgeous trim!
I got this painterly James Jean tote a while back. I love the delicate look.
